The event — broadcast from Apple Park in Cupertino, USA — revealed the new in-house Apple M5 processor , now integrated into the MacBook Pro , iPad Pro and Apple Vision Pro (not yet sold in Brazil).
The new M5, developed with third-generation 3nm technology, promises a remarkable leap in graphics performance, artificial intelligence and energy efficiency, reinforcing Apple's commitment to local computing with advanced AI.

The new Apple Vision Pro was one of the biggest surprises of the event. While maintaining the same elegant design as the previous generation, Apple's augmented reality glasses received a significant internal upgrade, incorporating the M5 processor , which delivers up to 4x better graphics performance in augmented reality tasks.
Improvements include:
Micro-OLED displays with higher refresh rates (now up to 120Hz ) and better color reproduction.
New “Dual Knit Band” , redesigned for greater comfort and better weight distribution.
Longer battery life , now with up to 3 hours of continuous video playback .
visionOS 26 , the new operating system, with support for 360° spatial experiences and tools powered by generative AI.
The launch price remains at $3,499 (approximately €3,999 in Portugal, depending on taxes). Pre-orders in the US began on October 15th, with arrival in stores in the country on October 22nd . There is no estimated arrival date for this device in Portugal.

The new 14-inch MacBook Pro with M5 processor was also announced, touted as the most powerful notebook ever designed by the brand. The new processor includes a 10-core CPU , a 10-core GPU with ray tracing support, and a 16-core Neural Engine , ready to further accelerate machine learning tasks.
Main highlights:
Up to 3.5x better performance on AI tasks compared to the previous model.
Autonomy of up to 24 hours , thanks to greater energy efficiency.
Liquid Retina XDR display with 1600 nits brightness and ProMotion 120Hz support.
macOS 15 Sequoia , with new productivity tools powered by generative AI.
Base pricing starts at €1,849 in Portugal, with the M5 Pro and M5 Max versions expected to arrive by the end of 2025.

The new iPad Pro M5 follows the same evolutionary philosophy: similar design, but next-level power. Similar to the new MacBook Pro, the new iPad Pro now features the M5 processor, delivering up to a 3.5x boost in AI performance compared to the M4 and 5.6x over the M1 .
Main news:
Ultra Retina XDR display with tandem OLED technology, up to 1600 nits of brightness and professional-accurate colors.
Wi-Fi 7 connectivity and, on Wi-Fi + Cellular models, the new C1X modem , which promises higher speeds and lower latency.
Compatibility with the new Apple Pencil Pro 2 , featuring gesture detection, haptic feedback, and enhanced sensitivity.
iPadOS 26 , with improved multitasking and deeper integration with creative apps like Final Cut Pro and Logic Pro.
The entry-level model starts at €1129 in Portugal (11-inch version), and is now available for immediate pre-order.
The event reinforced Apple's commitment to integrating local ( on-device ) artificial intelligence , so that all new devices with M5 can run complex AI models without relying on the cloud.
With these launches, Apple strengthens its position as a leader in performance and integrated innovation. The new M5 marks the beginning of a new phase for the brand's ecosystem—faster, more efficient, and smarter.
